RUMORS - "Springfest"

What has great food, a family atmosphere, great music and dancing (with a little karaoke thrown in), a beer garden, and all takes place under a huge tent every four years?!? Give up? Well , if memory serves one correctly, it must be the festivities put on by Rumors Restaurant during P.G.A. week. Taking a close at the calendar, it appears that time is upon us. Next week, Valhalla Golf Course will be hosting the 2004 Senior P.G.A. Championship. Once again, Rumors Restaurant, located just up the road from Valhalla, has decided to throw a party for all the greens fans who are passing through Middletown on their way to the tournament or on their way home after a long day of following their favorite professional golfer.

In keeping with a formula that has proven very successful, Rumors Restaurant will have an entertainment tent erected in front of their property in conjunction with the Seniors P.G.A. and the Memorial Holiday Weekend.

The party tent will have a stage, dance floor, and plenty of tables. A beer garden is set up in the tent and cocktail service is also available. Starting Tuesday evening, a variety of musical entertainment is set up for the week through Memorial Day. Various acts will be scheduled through the week, most days starting at 4 p.m. A few nights throughout this week, karaoke is also planned. It is amazing how much hidden talent there is in Middletown!

All this fun can be started off inside Rumors Restaurant with any of the selections off the menu . From their legendary Buffalo chicken wings, to any of the abundant choices of seafood dishes, burgers, sandwiches, or great salads, the menu proves to be very pleasing. Plenty of shrimp and oyster dishes are listed, and Dungeness crablegs appear to be the crab of choice this season. Some sandwich choices include grilled yellowfin tuna, Chicken Monteray, and a turkey philly, just to name a few.
