Not to worry, there is still hope for you. If you haven't considered it before, Rumors Restaurant, located at 12339 Shelbyville Road, would make a great choice for the party bound, young or old. Sunday's through Thursdays, Rumors spacious dining rooms can accommodate groups up to fifty people. On the weekends, Friday and Saturday, groups up to twenty-five are very manageable for Rumors efficient staff. The menu at Rumors is very appealing to a cross section of people, from the very casual - chicken wings, fried shrimp, sandwiches, etc., to the very upscale - Dungeness Crab, Shrimp and Scallop Linguini, Oyster Rockefeller and fresh shucked oyster on the half shell, to name a few. For lighter fare, Rumors has a good selection of appetizers, soups and salads. All of the soups and sauces are made from scratch. Some standout appetizers are smoked tuna spread, spinach conqueso, and BLT dip. Jumbo shrimp cocktail makes a great starter at your table, as would a pound or two of hot and spicy peel and eat shrimp. The large platters of wings available on the menu are a great way to feed a lot of people in a hurry, and throw in a couple of buckets of steamed oysters, bowls of onion rings and fries, and you've got a party! The atmosphere at Rumors during the Christmas season is very festive with holiday lights and greenery, and a large Christmas tree by the fireplace. A full bar awaits your holiday revelers, with a good selection of ice cold beer, wines, and liquors. A special holiday drink menu is also available to put your group in that festive mood. The décor of seasoned pine walls and tables puts you right at ease with a background of 60's & 70's tunes. You will find that Rumors Restaurant is very family friendly and has plenty of video games scattered around to entertain the small ones while you enjoy your evening out.
